Moon Jaein Hopes for Hatred to Disappear in Buddha's Light and for Healing and Peace to Prevail

On May 5, in celebration of Buddha's Birthday, former President Moon Jaein stated, "I hope that, in the light of Buddha, hatred, hostility, and discrimination will disappear, and that we will move toward healing and harmony, equality and peace."

On this day, former President Moon posted on social media, "I celebrate Buddha's Birthday, the year 2569 of the Buddhist calendar," sharing these thoughts.


Former President Moon added, "I wish for Buddha's compassion and good will to fill the world. Here at Tongdosa, not only the main temple but also every corner and hermitage are crowded with people and vehicles. We have also lit lotus lanterns at Pyeongsan Bookstore."


He continued, "I hope that these earnest wishes will come together to restore the dignity and democracy of the Republic of Korea, and that the people will regain peace and happiness in their daily lives."
