Possibility Remains for Unification with Han Ducksoo and Lee Junseok
Kim Moonsoo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, said on May 4 regarding discussions on unifying conservative candidates, "I believe it is desirable for everyone to participate together as broadly as possible."
Kim made these remarks when meeting with reporters after visiting Jangja Village in Pocheon that day, in response to a question about whether, if candidate unification is pursued, it would be a one-on-one process with independent preliminary candidate Han Ducksoo, or if Lee Junseok of the Reform Party would also be included.
Regarding the 'deadline' for candidate unification, he said, "There are various interpretations, but since many people say it should not be too late, I will take that into consideration as much as possible."
On the timing of launching a unification task force within the election campaign committee and its personnel appointments, he said, "Nothing has been decided yet, and we will continue to discuss it."
