Kim Minseok: "We Will Not Lose Lee Jaemyung as We Lost Kim Gu, Cho Bongam, Jang Junha, and Roh Moo-hyun"
Lee Junseok Targets Democratic Party: "They Seem Ready to Rename the Republic of Korea as Jaemyung Republic"
Lee Junseok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party, strongly criticized the Democratic Party of Korea on the 4th, saying, "It is clear that the Democratic Party has collectively lost its mind," in response to their claim that "we will not lose Lee Jaemyung as we lost Kim Gu, Cho Bongam, Jang Junha, and Roh Moo-hyun."
On this day, through his social media account, Lee stated, "How dare you compare candidate Lee Jaemyung to Kim Gu, Cho Bongam, Jang Junha, and former Presidents Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun?"

Earlier, Kim Minseok, the Standing Co-Chairman of the Democratic Party's Election Countermeasures Committee, held a press briefing at the National Assembly and, regarding the Supreme Court's decision to remand Lee Jaemyung's violation of the Public Official Election Act for a guilty verdict, said, "The Supreme Court's mistake should not be repeated at the High Court. We will not lose Lee Jaemyung as we lost Kim Gu, Cho Bongam, Jang Junha, and Roh Moo-hyun."
Lee directly criticized Lee Jaemyung, saying, "Did those figures ever lie in a nationally televised debate, claiming not to know their closest aide who had passed away? Did they have a record of drunk driving? Did they abuse their parliamentary immunity to evade judicial punishment?"
He continued, "Now that Kim Minseok, who went to prison for receiving slush funds from conglomerates, is serving as the Democratic Party's election committee chair, we are seeing this outrageous situation where even Kim Gu is being dragged in to defend Lee Jaemyung. Even the New Right's historical awareness is not this shallow," he rebuked.
Lee further stated, "We are now hearing all sorts of crude and bizarre remarks such as abolishing the separation of powers, 'let's see in a month,' and impeaching the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. They seem poised to even change the name of the Republic of Korea to Jaemyung Republic." He added, "The public is looking on with dismay. Please show some restraint and learn to feel ashamed."
