A Festival with Families
Held at Gocheok Neighborhood Park on May 3
Guro District (District Mayor Jang Inhong) held the "103rd Children's Day Comprehensive Event" at Gocheok Neighborhood Park on May 3, 2025.
Children, Guro District Mayor Jang Inhong, and local residents attended the event to celebrate Children's Day and enjoy the festivities together.
The event began with pre-ceremony performances such as dance club shows and cheerleading, followed by awards for exemplary children, a reading of the Children's Rights Charter, a group singing of the Children's Day song, as well as a writing contest and a drawing competition. These programs provided opportunities for children to showcase their talents and creativity.
In particular, the event was well received by families, as it was organized with a variety of hands-on experiences and performances that anyone could easily participate in, allowing everyone to reflect on the meaning of Children's Day.
Guro District Mayor Jang Inhong said, "Although it is raining, I am very pleased to celebrate Children's Day with the children in Gocheok Neighborhood Park, where the flowers are in full bloom," and added, "We will continue to provide various forms of support so that children can grow up healthy and happy."
