On the afternoon of May 3, near Anmok Beach in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, Lee said, "Isn't it most important for politics to distribute resources as evenly as possible so that there are no unfair individuals and no unfair regions?"

Lee stated, "Regardless of whether someone is nominated through a fair or unfair process, we must carefully select those who are competent, loyal, and willing to serve the people if we want someone to work for our community." He then criticized the Yoon Sukyeol administration, saying, "We entrusted them with power, and yet they use that power to stage a coup d'etat."

Lee continued his criticism of the government and the ruling party. He said, "With the authority entrusted to them, they try to enrich themselves, impose martial law to kill others, protect those responsible, violate the Constitution, and commit all sorts of wrongdoings. What do you think will happen to the country if such people are given power?"

He further stressed, "There may not be significant damage right now, but our next generation will suffer greatly."

On this day, Lee is conducting an East Coast Belt listening tour, visiting places such as Sokcho Jungang Market, Yangyang Traditional Market, and Anmok Beach in Gangneung. Not only in Gangneung, but also in Sokcho and Yangyang, he called for unity for a new hope, saying, "Aren't we a great people who have even overcome insurrection?"
