Former Minister Kim pledged to create a Republic of Korea without the "N-po Generation." He stated, "I will create plenty of jobs so that young people do not have to give up on employment," and added, "I will do everything possible so that they do not have to give up on marriage or childbirth either."
He also promised to institutionalize the virtual asset market. Kim said, "There are young people who make money from virtual assets, but there are also those who lose money," and promised, "I will institutionalize the market to ensure it becomes stable and functions as well as the ordinary securities market."
Former leader Han also emphasized the importance of the younger generation. He said, "The key to the survival of the Republic of Korea and the People Power Party is to stand with the youth," and pledged, "If I become the candidate, I will focus on youth policies."
In particular, he promised policies to ease the burden of home purchases. Han explained, "We must spare no policy or financial support for young people in their daily lives," and added, "I have proposed policies to exempt the loan-to-value (LTV) ratio and acquisition and registration taxes for the entire duration of youth status."
The final primary was conducted with 50% of the result from the electoral college vote and 50% from a public opinion poll. Out of 764,853 party member electors, 402,481 (52.62%) participated in the ARS (automated response system) vote.
Based on these results, the candidate with the most votes between Moonsoo Kim and Handong Hoon will be selected as the final nominee. The outcome is scheduled to be announced at around 3:46 p.m. on this day.
