On the morning of May 2, Park Kangsoo, the head of Mapo District Office, attended the "2025 Regular General Meeting and Hygiene Education of the Mapo District Branch of the Korea Beauticians Association" held at Majunghall on the 6th floor of Mapo Central Library, where he spent time communicating with local beauty industry professionals.
Approximately 200 local beauty industry professionals participated in the event, which included both the regular general meeting and a hygiene education session.
The event was divided into two parts. The first part consisted of the opening declaration, the national pledge, the awarding of commendations, the opening address and words of encouragement, followed by a greeting from the head of Mapo District Office.
A total of 23 beauty professionals received commendations that day, and among them, 5 individuals were awarded commendations from the head of Mapo District Office.
The second part featured a three-hour specialized hygiene education program, covering public hygiene regulations, general knowledge, and technical training, which contributed to raising hygiene awareness and strengthening the competencies of beauty industry workers.
Park Kangsoo, head of Mapo District Office, stated, "Last summer, I was touched by the volunteers from the Hyodobapsang group who carefully styled the hair of each and every senior citizen, and the bright smiles of the seniors remain in my heart. Unlike professions such as doctors or lawyers, beauty is a career that will never disappear. Everyone wants to look beautiful. It is a wonderful profession, and I hope it will continue for a long time to come."
