The Gwangju Employers Federation announced on the 2nd that it will conduct a training session for both member and non-member companies titled "2025 Labor Inspection and Corporate Response Training for the Expansion of Ordinary Wages."
This training will be held on the afternoon of May 13 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center, 2nd floor, medium conference room, located in Seo-gu, Gwangju. It has been organized to address concerns about potential confusion in the industrial field and conflicts between labor and management, by providing information on the direction of labor inspections for this year and recent issues regarding ordinary wages. The training is open to 50 participants and aims to present response strategies to help member companies establish a stable management environment and enhance their competitiveness.
The first lecture will be delivered by Ryu Gwanhun, Director of the Labor-Management Cooperation Support Division at the Gwangju Employment and Labor Office, who will discuss the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 2025 labor inspection plans, including guidance on inspection plans for workplaces and key inspection items. The second lecture will be given by Lee Jeongwoo, attorney at Yulchon LLC, who will analyze Supreme Court precedents on ordinary wages and provide response strategies. Topics will include the reorganization of compensation regulations such as regular bonuses, performance-based pay, and other allowances, trends in the legislation of ordinary wages, the impact on companies, and corresponding response strategies.
Yang Jinseok, Chairman of the Gwangju Employers Federation, stated, "The Ministry of Employment and Labor is expected to conduct comprehensive and intensive workplace labor inspections in the first half of the year, so it is time for individual workplaces to thoroughly prepare and get ready for labor inspections." He added, "Through this training, which covers the expansion of ordinary wages, we hope to share labor inspection standards, actual case studies, and management measures, so that workplaces can become safer and free from risk factors."
