Operates Every Saturday and Sunday at the Square Under Jindo Bridge
Jindo County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim Heesu), announced on May 2 that the 'Uldolmok Weekend Market' will open every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Uldolmok Square under the Jindo Bridge, starting from May 3.
The Uldolmok Weekend Market will operate as a space for interaction between merchants and tourists, beginning with an opening ceremony on May 3. The market will offer local specialties and dishes made using agricultural and marine products produced in Jindo County.
In particular, the opening ceremony will feature traditional Korean music performances, including binari, Samdoseol Janggu, and gugak songs by the performing arts group Rakpung. In addition to cultural performances, a variety of side events will also be held, which are expected to attract many visitors to the market.
An official from the county said, "We hope that the Uldolmok Weekend Market will become a popular attraction where local residents and tourists can come together, and we look forward to your interest and participation."
