"This Won't Make It Japanese Territory"... Seo Kyungduk Criticizes Japanese Right-Wing Impersonation An account on X (formerly Twitter) impersonating Professor Kyungduk Seo. Professor Kyungduk Seo

Professor Seo Kyungduk of Sungshin Women's University has issued a warning, stating that a Japanese right-wing netizen created a social networking service (SNS) account impersonating him to promote the Rising Sun Flag and Takeshima.

On May 2, Professor Seo announced on his SNS, "A netizen created an account on X (formerly Twitter) with the username 'seokyongduk' and used the Rising Sun Flag as the profile picture." He added, "This account even posted content titled 'The Story of Takeshima's Territorial Incorporation' from the Japanese Territorial Sovereignty Exhibition Hall."

He continued, "By using the username 'seokyongduk' and promoting the Rising Sun Flag and Takeshima, the account is causing confusion." He also noted, "So far, Japanese right-wingers have used my face as a profile picture on multiple SNS accounts, claiming 'Takeshima is Japanese territory' and 'The Rising Sun Flag is a beautiful flag.'"

In conclusion, he stated, "Such actions will not make Dokdo Japanese territory or justify the use of the Rising Sun Flag. These foolish acts only further damage Japan's image." He urged, "Do not be deceived by impersonation accounts, and if you come across such an account, please report it immediately."
