To Be Revealed on "My Little Old Boy" on May 11

Singer and broadcaster Lee Sangmin (51), who recently announced his remarriage, is reported to have already registered his marriage.

According to Munhwa Ilbo on May 1, Lee Sangmin officially became a married couple with his wife after registering their marriage at a district office in Seoul on April 30. However, Lee Sangmin does not plan to hold a wedding ceremony. It has been reported that, out of consideration for his non-celebrity wife, he will forgo a formal ceremony and instead celebrate with a small gathering of family and close friends.

Previously, on April 30, Lee Sangmin personally announced his marriage through his social media, stating, "I have found someone I love deeply. I intend to begin the second act of my life together with her." He introduced his wife by saying, "She is someone who makes me want to protect her through any hardship, and I feel that I can spend a lifetime happily together with her."

Lee Sangmin added, "Because she is someone precious whom I found later in life, I was very cautious, which is why I was late in sharing the news even with those around me." "You may be surprised, but I would be truly grateful if you could share in our joy and bless us. I will strive to live every moment with even greater responsibility so that I can repay all those who support and encourage me."

Lee Sangmin debuted in the entertainment industry in 1994 as a member of the group Roo'ra. In 2004, after eight years of dating, he married singer-turned-broadcaster Lee Hyeyoung, but they divorced the following year. The two have no children. Stories related to Lee Sangmin's marriage are scheduled to be revealed on the SBS variety show "My Little Old Boy," which will air on May 11.
