Mayor Jeong Kimyeong of Yeosu Holds Congratulatory Meeting with Local Administrative Examination Passers

On the afternoon of May 1, Jeong Kimyeong, Mayor of Yeosu, South Jeolla Province, held a meeting in the mayor's office, inviting local talents who had passed the 2024 National Civil Service Grade 5 Open Competitive Recruitment Examination (Administrative Examination), along with their families.

This meeting was organized to congratulate those who had grown into administrative leaders who will lead the nation's major policies after overcoming fierce competition, and to also recognize and encourage the efforts of the successful candidates' families.

On this day, Mayor Jeong Kimyeong, three successful candidates of the Administrative Examination and their parents, and Lee Donggil, Chairman of the Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, attended the event to offer congratulations and encouragement.

The successful candidates expressed their gratitude, saying, "We are thankful for Yeosu's warm interest and support, and we will strive to become excellent public officials who can contribute to our hometown."

Mayor Jeong emphasized, "This is not only the result of individual effort but also a source of pride for the entire local community," and urged, "I hope you will become competent and compassionate public officials who realize sound policies for the people in the future."

Additionally, while presenting a 'Daseomi' doll, the mascot of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo, he said, "As public officials from this region, I hope you will show great interest in Yeosu's major event, which will promote the future value of islands and the sea to the world."
