Baek Namyeol Inaugurated as First President
of the Pukyong CEO Academy Alumni Association
The Pukyong CEO Academy, the highest-level educational program operated by Pukyong National University, has officially launched its alumni association.
On April 30, Pukyong National University held the inauguration ceremony for the first alumni association of the Pukyong CEO Academy and the induction ceremony for its president at the Pukyong Convention Hall on the Daeyeon Campus. Around 60 academy members attended the event.
Baek Namyeol, CEO of Woori IT Co., Ltd., was inaugurated as the first president of the alumni association. In his inaugural address, President Baek stated, "Together with the first cohort of alumni, I will strengthen our bonds and develop this group into an organization that leads the local community."
The Pukyong CEO Academy is the first highest-level program established by Pukyong National University this year, targeting regional opinion leaders. Since the entrance ceremony on March 19, lectures have been held every Wednesday evening. Park Seho, Chairman of Wooju Sealings Group and President of the Pukyong National University Alumni Association, is also participating in the program.
Ha Myungshin, Vice President for External Affairs and head of the program, said, "With the launch of the alumni association, the university and the local community will collaborate more closely, and the network among leaders will be further strengthened."
Prior to the inauguration ceremony, Sohn Jooun, Chairman of Megastudy, delivered a special lecture on the topic of "Digital Transformation and Our Future." In addition, a variety of special lectures in fields such as management and finance, humanities and arts, and social contribution, as well as domestic training programs and onboard seminars, are being conducted.
