Integrity Promotion Council Meeting Held with Attendance of Mayor Park Kangsoo and Deputy Mayor on April 29
Discussions on Fostering a Horizontal Organizational Culture, Building Internal Trust, and Establishing Corruption Prevention Systems

Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Kangsoo) held the first 2025 Integrity Promotion Council meeting in the main conference room of the Mapo-gu Office on April 29.

This meeting was organized to secure momentum for the 2025 integrity policy initiatives and to seek ways to improve areas vulnerable to corruption.

Present at the meeting were Park Kangsoo, Mayor of Mapo-gu, the Deputy Mayor, division and department heads, and the audit officer. They shared the 2025 anti-corruption and integrity improvement action plan and discussed the direction for project implementation.

In particular, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on ways to improve long-standing improper practices, with a focus on fostering a horizontal organizational culture and building internal trust through communication that resonates with the 2030 generation.

In addition, they emphasized the importance of establishing institutional foundations to prevent corruption and reaffirmed their strong commitment to creating a culture of integrity in the public sector.

Park Kangsoo, Mayor of Mapo-gu, stated, "The essence of integrity is never losing the original intention to do one's best for the public interest and for the residents," and urged employees to "strive to spread a culture of integrity throughout Mapo-gu."

Mapo-gu has operated the Integrity Working Council task force three times, and has established effective policies such as abolishing the 'Day to Serve Executives' and prohibiting work instructions outside of business hours, with key tasks including organizational culture improvement, fair and transparent personnel management, and the establishment of corruption prevention systems.
