Gwangjin District Launches AI Photo Zone 'Gwangjin Studio' at Integrated Government Building

Gwangjin District (District Mayor Kim Kyungho) has completed the installation of the AI-powered photo zone 'Gwangjin Studio' in the civil service office on the second floor of the integrated government building this month and has officially begun its operation.

'Gwangjin Studio' is a space equipped with a photo booth where residents and visitors to the government building can take commemorative photos and create enjoyable memories. The booth measures 1.9 meters wide, 2 meters deep, and 2 meters high, and its exterior is designed using Gwangjin District's characters 'Gwang-i' and 'Jin-i'.

By using the free photo coupons available in the booth's coupon box, users can instantly take photos with a choice of 13 different background images. Utilizing AI technology suitable for 'Smart Gwangjin', the booth automatically recognizes the subject's position and facial expression to provide naturally composited images.

Background images include various iconic locations in Gwangjin District such as Achasan Forest Library, Children's Grand Park, and the Han River. Users can also commemorate special moments like marriage or birth registration with warm-themed backgrounds. The photos taken can be saved to a smartphone or shared on social media via a generated QR code. The photo zone operates on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Kim Kyungho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, stated, "'Gwangjin Studio' is a space created to allow anyone to easily capture special moments using AI technology. I hope that visitors to the government building will create memorable experiences, and we will continue to expand 'smart administration' in everyday life."

Meanwhile, to enhance convenience for residents, the district operates an evening passport service counter every Thursday. Residents can visit the civil service office from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to apply for or receive a passport. On the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, 'Family Relationship Registration Consultation Day' is held, offering free consultation services on how to prepare family relationship registration documents and details of the processing procedures. Reservations can be made by phone or in person with the Civil Service Passport Division at Gwangjin District Office.
