On the morning of April 30, Oh Seungrok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the "Spring Healing Walk Together" event hosted by the Nowon-gu Sports Association for the Disabled at the Azalea Hill in Bulamsan Healing Town.
This event was designed as a healing excursion program, where 150 people with and without disabilities living in Nowon-gu walked together along the round-trip course from the floor fountain at Azalea Hill to the Bulamsan Observatory.
Azalea Hill, where 100,000 azaleas bloom every year, features a 2.1-kilometer circular walking trail for people with mobility challenges. The observatory is equipped with an elevator, making it accessible and comfortable for wheelchair and stroller users.
On this day, participants walked together through the blooming Healing Town and visited the observatory, spending time communicating and fostering harmony.
The event was attended by Oh Seungrok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, as well as officials and approximately 150 participants. The program included an opening ceremony, welcoming remarks, a group photo session, and the Healing Walk Together.
Oh Seungrok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, stated, "We created the barrier-free deck trail with the belief that a path comfortable for you is a path comfortable for everyone. I hope you fully enjoy the energy of spring as you walk along the flower-filled deck trail at Azalea Hill."
