On May 1, Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to be clear until the morning, but will gradually become cloudy due to the influence of a pressure trough, with rain likely to fall.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, the region will initially be on the edge of a high-pressure system moving northeast over the seas south of Japan, but starting in the morning, it will come under the influence of a pressure trough moving from the northern part of the West Sea toward North Korea.
The expected precipitation is between 10 and 40mm from the morning through the night. Morning temperatures will range from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will range from 19 to 24 degrees Celsius.
Waves on the West Sea will reach up to 3 meters, and up to 1.5 meters on the South Sea. Both ultrafine and fine dust levels are expected to be 'moderate'.
An official from the Meteorological Administration stated, "In areas where it rains, visibility will be reduced and some roads may be slippery. Please pay attention to traffic safety by maintaining a safe distance and reducing speed when driving."
