Lee Jaemyung: "I am the candidate of the Democratic Party and all the people... Victory is certain"

'Real Korea' Central Election Committee Launch Ceremony

Lee Jaemyung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 30th, "I will create a victory not just for myself or the Democratic Party, but for all the people."

On this day, at the launch ceremony of the Democratic Party's 21st Presidential Election 'Real Korea' Central Election Committee held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building in the afternoon, Lee said, "I am not only the candidate of the Democratic Party, but also the candidate for all citizens who long for an end to civil strife and overcoming crises."

Lee remarked, "Over the past three years, we have lost too much. Prices, unemployment, business closures, and people's livelihoods have all been pushed to the brink. The values of democracy and human rights have hit rock bottom, and our national dignity has plummeted."

To overcome these challenges, Lee made three pledges. He emphasized, "I will overcome civil strife and restore democracy. I will revive the people's livelihoods and the economy, unite the people, and lead Korea onto the world stage."

He said, "We must set aside our small differences, oppose civil strife, defend constitutional order, and unite the strength of all who share hope for the Korean community." He continued, "Korea stands at a historic crossroads: will we rise as a nation of hope leading the world, or fall into destructive backwardness on the periphery? The only driving force for the future is national unity."

Lee has repeatedly emphasized that, in this presidential election, he is a candidate for all citizens, transcending political camps, and a politician who crosses ideological lines. He stated, "The only driving force to prevent regression and destruction and to move toward hope and the future is national unity," adding, "This election is not simply a contest between political parties, but a contest between the future and the past, between a new leap forward and regression, and between hope and despair."
