"No Organizational Restructuring or Changes in Business Direction"
Hong Wonpyo, CEO (Vice Chairman) of SK Shieldus, has stepped down from his position due to personal reasons.
On April 30, SK Shieldus announced that Vice Chairman Hong had recently resigned from his role as CEO. A representative from SK Shieldus stated, "This decision is unrelated to recent SK Telecom security issues or the company's business performance."
The company also explained, "There will be no organizational restructuring or changes in business direction as a result of this resignation. The major ongoing projects and tasks will continue to proceed smoothly."
The appointment of a new CEO is currently being reviewed under the leadership of the board of directors.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman Hong previously served as Executive Vice President at KT, Vice Chairman and President at Samsung Electronics, and from 2015 to 2021, as President and CEO of Samsung SDS. He has led SK Shieldus since August 2023.
