The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea announced on the 30th that it held a network meeting for corporate social contribution managers.
The meeting, which took place on the 29th, was organized to foster partnerships by strengthening information exchange and business cooperation among companies engaged in community social contribution, and to enhance the efficiency of fundraising and distribution projects. In particular, the event began with an introduction to corporate-linked social contribution projects, followed by discussions on ways to invigorate corporate social contribution, and explored strategies for future collaboration in social contribution activities.
At the meeting, Dr. Kim Soyoung from the Nanum Research Institute was invited to give a special lecture on the topic of 'Trends in Corporate Social Contribution and Practical Strategies for Companies in Gwangju.' Under the subtitle 'The ESG Era: Co-Growth of Local Communities and Companies,' the lecture highlighted recent changes in corporate social contribution and presented practical measures for local communities and companies to coexist from an ESG perspective, drawing significant interest from the corporate social contribution managers in attendance.
Park Heungcheol, Secretary General of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae, said, "It is very meaningful that this meeting has provided an opportunity for companies to cooperate and contribute to the development of the local community," adding, "We will continue to actively support companies so that they can grow together with the local community, and we will work to establish ongoing cooperative relationships."
