Sungmin (real name Lee Sungmin) of Super Junior will be parting ways with SM Entertainment.
On April 30, SM Entertainment announced, "Our exclusive contract with Sungmin has ended."
The company added, "We are grateful to Sungmin for being with us for over 20 years, from his trainee days until now," and stated, "We will support Sungmin in his musical activities and his new beginning."
Sungmin debuted in 2005 as a member of Super Junior. He halted group activities in 2017 and started anew as a trot singer in 2023. He married musical actress Kim Saeun in 2014 and welcomed a son last year.
