Yangsan City Successfully Holds This Year's Labor Day Commemoration Event

Encouraging Workers' Dedication and Regional Coexistence
A Milestone for Cooperation Among Administration, Labor, and Economic Sectors

Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province successfully held the 2025 Labor Day Commemoration Event on April 25 at the Grand Conference Room on the 4th floor of the Yangsan City Workers' Welfare Center.

This event, organized by the Yangsan Regional Branch of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions, brought together approximately 200 union members and workers to honor and celebrate the dedication of workers. The program included an awards ceremony recognizing 31 exemplary workers and the reading of a resolution to guarantee fundamental labor rights.


The event was attended by Mayor Na Dongyeon, National Assembly member Yoon Youngseok, City Council Chairman Kwak Jongpo, Yangsan Branch Director of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Kwon Guhyung, Yangsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Park Changhyun, and other representatives from administrative, labor, and economic sectors. The participants commemorated Labor Day and reiterated that the sweat and dedication of workers are the foundation of the local community and the core of the regional economy.


In particular, this event served as a venue for cooperation, with participation from the administrative, labor, and economic sectors in the region, aiming for mutual growth. It is expected to become both a catalyst and a foundation for the development of the local community.


An Gwangjin, head of the Yangsan Regional Branch of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions, stated, "On the occasion of Labor Day, I extend my gratitude and congratulations to all workers, and I will continue to work towards building a society where the value of labor is respected."


Mayor Na Dongyeon said, "I deeply appreciate the hard work of all workers, and Yangsan City will also strive to improve the local labor environment and enhance workers' rights and interests."
