Compliance management refers to an organizational operation method that minimizes tangible and intangible legal violation risks and increases transparency in business activities.
This training was organized to share the company's desirable compliance direction with the executive team, thereby strengthening their commitment to compliance management, and to encourage them to take the lead in naturally spreading a culture of compliance within the organization.
Hanwha Ocean invited Lee Wongi, President of the Korea Compliance Certification Institute, to conduct training under the theme "Expanding Sustainability through Establishment and Implementation of Compliance." The session included a review of the company's current compliance status and in-depth discussions on concrete implementation measures for achieving compliance.
In addition to the Compliance Academy, Hanwha Ocean has continued various efforts to strengthen compliance management. Last year, the company obtained integrated certification for the ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System and the ISO 37301 Compliance Management System from the Korea Compliance Certification Institute, establishing a compliance management system that meets international standards.
This year, Hanwha Ocean was selected by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission as an exemplary institution for ethical and transparent management and received a commendation from the Chairperson of the Commission, further demonstrating external recognition of its compliance management efforts.
A Hanwha Ocean representative stated, "Compliance management is the foundation for the company's sustainable growth and a key to securing global competitiveness," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our compliance culture by preparing various programs so that all employees can incorporate compliance into their daily work."
