The Ssangnim Township Office construction project in Goryeong County was officially launched after being selected in June 2020 for the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs’ public contest project, “Ssangnim Township Basic Living Base Development Project.” In April 2023, the county commissioned the basic and detailed design services, then began construction in December of the same year, and completed the building on March 26, 2025. The building has a total floor area of 1,623.51 square meters and consists of three stories above ground.
The newly completed Ssangnim Township Office in Goryeong County was created as a multifunctional space integrating administrative, cultural, and welfare functions, overcoming the limitations of the previously outdated and cramped public office and inadequate cultural and welfare facilities. The new facility includes the township office, a large auditorium, book stair, multipurpose program rooms, and hobby classrooms. As a result, residents are expected to conveniently access a variety of daily life services in one place.
County Governor Lee Namcheol stated, "We will actively communicate and provide unwavering support to foster an environment where residents and the administration grow together, improve the quality of life for our citizens, and ensure the region’s sustainable development."
