The commemorative coins are two types of 50,000-won silver coins. Each coin is priced at 64,500 won individually, and the two-coin set is priced at 135,000 won. The total issuance (sales) volume is 8,000 coins, with 4,000 coins of each type.

The obverse side reflects the importance of family and the evolution of living spaces over time, symbolizing the census subjects of population and housing. The reverse side features the number commemorating the 100th anniversary of the census and related motifs.

Silver coin 1 depicts children drawing images of family and homes on the obverse, emphasizing the importance of family and community and expressing hope for the future. The reverse side features the number 100, marking the centennial of the census, along with representations of houses and apartments symbolizing residential spaces. Silver coin 2 illustrates the progression of Korea's housing styles on the obverse, from traditional thatched and tiled houses to modern high-rise apartments. The reverse side displays major statistical figures and human figures related to the census.

Reservations will be accepted from May 15 to June 5. For the domestic allocation (90% of the issuance), reservations will be taken by Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation (KOMSCO) through financial institutions (Woori Bank and Nonghyup Bank) and the KOMSCO online shopping mall. If the number of reservations exceeds the domestic allocation, successful applicants will be selected by random lottery. The overseas allocation (10%) will be handled by KOMSCO through overseas sales channels, and any unsold coins from this portion will be added to the domestic allocation.

Starting July 15, KOMSCO will distribute the coins to reservation holders according to their selected method (collection at bank branches or postal delivery). For detailed information on the reservation, distribution process, and updates, refer to the websites of KOMSCO, Woori Bank, and Nonghyup Bank, which are responsible for sales.
