Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) will provide monthly support of 1 million won to holders of national intangible cultural heritage who are active in Gyeonggi Province.

On April 29, GH announced that it held a donation agreement and delivery ceremony with the National Heritage Promotion Agency at Hanok Jip in Seoul to support the preservation and transmission activities of vulnerable national intangible cultural heritage.

According to the agreement, GH will provide monthly support of 1 million won for two years to two holders of national intangible cultural heritage through the National Heritage Promotion Agency. Recipients are selected every two years, and the sponsorship funds are used for transmission activities, as well as for maintaining training spaces and equipment. The recipients selected this time are Kim Younghee, a master of jade craft, and Lim Sunbin, a master of musical instrument making.

Lee Jongsun, acting president of GH, said, "We deeply sympathize with the National Heritage Promotion Agency's efforts to transmit and promote intangible heritage, and we will work together for the sustainable preservation and utilization of national heritage."
