HiteJinro Launches Premium Bourbon Whiskey 'Four Roses' Officially in Korea for the First Time

Launch of Four Varieties Including 'Four Roses Bourbon'

HiteJinro announced on April 30 that it will introduce four varieties of the premium bourbon whiskey 'Four Roses' in Korea for the first time.

The name Four Roses originates from the story of its founder, Paul Jones Jr., whose beloved appeared wearing a rose corsage as a sign of acceptance to his marriage proposal. Four Roses creates ten unique recipes by combining two types of mash bills (the types and proportions of grains used in whiskey production) and five proprietary yeast strains. These recipes are then meticulously blended to produce bourbon whiskey with a distinctive character.

The newly released products are 'Four Roses Bourbon,' 'Four Roses Single Barrel,' 'Four Roses Small Batch,' and 'Four Roses Small Batch Select.'

Four Roses Bourbon is the flagship product that even those new to bourbon whiskey can enjoy without hesitation. It features a balanced flavor profile created from a basic combination of mash bill and yeast, with a smooth vanilla and caramel aroma. The alcohol content is 40%. Four Roses Single Barrel is made by extracting the spirit from a single barrel. It is characterized by its unique, intense flavor and the sweet taste of aged vanilla and toffee, with an alcohol content of 50%.

Four Roses Small Batch is a premium product produced in limited quantities using the 'small batch' method, which blends whiskey from a small number of barrels to achieve a more delicate and refined taste. It is distinguished by its rich fruit aroma and has an alcohol content of 45%. Four Roses Small Batch Select is the top-tier premium line, featuring flavors of chocolate and dried fruit. It is non-chill filtered, allowing the whiskey's natural taste to shine through, and has the highest alcohol content among the four at 52%.

He added, "Due to the unique production methods of the distillery, only a very limited quantity has been imported for this launch, and we are currently discussing additional imports within the year."
