Gyeonggi Province to Conduct International Exchange Training for Public Officials with China, Poland, and Taiwan

Gyeonggi Province will conduct international exchange training programs this year in five regions across three countries: China, Poland, and Taiwan.

On April 30, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will launch its international exchange training for public officials in five regions this year, starting with Shandong Province in China on May 18, and including Liaoning and Jiangsu Provinces in China, Dolnoslaskie Province in Poland, and Taipei City in Taiwan.

The international exchange training program allows Gyeonggi Province public officials to experience administrative operations and policy cases in various countries firsthand, while foreign officials visiting Gyeonggi Province share the province’s outstanding policies and experiences. This is a mutual exchange program aiming to establish effective cooperative relationships through two-way learning and field-oriented training methods.

Alongside the international exchange training, Gyeonggi Province will also implement a KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) global training program on gender equality for public officials from Nigeria and Bolivia as part of its international development cooperation projects. This initiative is expected to support capacity building for public officials in developing countries, contribute to the social and economic development of those countries, and have a positive impact on enhancing Gyeonggi Province’s international credibility and diplomatic standing.

Gyeonggi Province plans to use this training to further strengthen cooperative relationships with exchange regions and to enhance the international policy understanding and practical skills of its public officials. Furthermore, based on ongoing exchanges, the province aims to lay the groundwork for expanding cooperation into various fields such as the economy and culture in the future.

Kim Jaehoon, President of the Gyeonggi Human Resources Development Institute, stated, "This exchange training is a valuable opportunity to directly and indirectly experience global policies and will serve as a platform to promote the administrative competitiveness of Gyeonggi Province internationally. We will continue to spread sustainable cooperation models and raise Gyeonggi Province’s status in the world through global partnerships that drive joint growth."
