Actor Park Seojoon revealed the story of helping save a precious life suffering from a brain tumor at a young age through his donation. On the 29th, Park Seojoon posted a photo of a handwritten letter he received on his social media (SNS). The handwritten letter was sent by the family of a young patient who was able to receive a hematopoietic stem cell transplant thanks to Park Seojoon's donation. The sender of the letter wrote, "Thanks to the donation from Park Seojoon, our child was able to safely undergo a hematopoietic stem cell transplant," and began by expressing, "We are truly grateful."

The parents of the young patient continued, "Our child was diagnosed with a brain tumor in January 2024. The diagnosis of a brain tumor, which we thought would never affect us, was followed by frightening words like surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, as well as enormous medical expenses. It was a difficult situation both emotionally and financially," they said. They also added, "We learned that a hematopoietic stem cell transplant was inevitable in our child's treatment process, and even now, thinking about the overwhelming feeling we had when we heard about the treatment costs is frightening."

The parents of the patient, who received Park Seojoon's donation with guidance from the hospital, said, "When we first found out about our child's illness, we felt like our family was the only one suffering in the world and we were in despair, but now, after the first hematopoietic stem cell transplant, we are starting to feel a little hope." They also shared, "When we told our child that Park Seojoon had supported us, our child was surprised and said, 'I can't believe someone so famous helped us.' Our child said they wanted to meet you in person after recovering their health through diligent treatment, and that they wanted to become famous too. It was the first time in a while our family laughed together." They went on to say, "Park Seojoon's generous support has given our family hope and courage. We will also strive to live as a family that helps others, together with our child," expressing their gratitude. After sharing this letter, Park Seojoon responded, "Once again, I am determined to live my life to the fullest," and added, "Let's meet again after you recover your health."

Park Seojoon has consistently shared news of his donations. In 2019, he donated 100 million won to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association for victims of the Gangwon Province wildfires. The following year, he donated another 100 million won to help flood victims affected by heavy rains. In 2023, he donated 100 million won to the UNICEF Korea Committee to help children affected by the earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria.
