Naju City in South Jeolla Province demonstrated its event management capabilities by successfully hosting competitions in three sports?squash, shooting, and roller skating?at the 2025 National Sports for All Festival.
According to Naju City, this festival was held over four days from April 24 to April 27, 2025, across 17 metropolitan and provincial governments nationwide, with approximately 20,000 amateur athletes participating.
The city operated each event at Naju Squash Court, Naju Shooting Range, and Bitgaram Roller Skating Rink. Through meticulous preparation and by ensuring the safety and convenience of the facilities, the city contributed to enhancing the athletes' performance.
In particular, Naju City improved satisfaction for both athletes and visitors by strengthening traffic guidance near the venues, deploying volunteers, and enhancing water supply and emergency response systems.
Additionally, the city installed around 170 flower pots at the entrances to each sports venue and planted 14,340 roadside flowers at locations such as the city hall intersection and the fountain plaza at KTX Naju Station, creating a pleasant streetscape. The city also promoted the upcoming '2025 Naju Yeongsangang Festival,' scheduled for October 8, to visitors.
A city official stated, "Hosting events for the National Sports for All Festival has greatly invigorated the local economy, including the lodging and food service sectors," and added, "We will continue to enhance the image of Naju as a pleasant, safe, and convenient city to attract various sports competitions."
