Option Prices Reduced by Up to 2 Million KRW
Swedish electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar announced on April 30 that it has launched the "2025 Polestar 2," adding a new trim priced in the 40 million KRW range for the first time in the brand's history.
The Polestar 2 now features a new trim starting at 43.9 million KRW and has reduced the price of package options by up to 2 million KRW. In addition, new exterior colors and interior options have been introduced, and features such as adaptive cruise control and heated rear seats are now standard.
Ham Jongseong, CEO of Polestar Korea, said, "While maintaining the essence of a premium electric vehicle recognized for its design, performance, and safety, we have enhanced product appeal and price competitiveness so that more customers can experience it." He added, "As the new trim is the first in the brand's history to start in the 40 million KRW range, it will serve as an attractive option for customers considering an electric vehicle for the first time."
The Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motor is equipped with a 69kWh lithium-ion battery from LG Energy Solution. Although the battery capacity is reduced by 11% compared to the Long Range model, it achieves a driving range of 409 km on a single charge thanks to a 5% lighter curb weight and high energy efficiency of 5.2 km/kWh. The maximum output is 272 horsepower, with a maximum torque of 50 kg·m. The price is 43.9 million KRW (including VAT, excluding subsidies), and only 300 units will be available in Korea.
Popular features such as adaptive cruise control, a heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats are now standard. The price of the Pilot Pack has been reduced from 2.99 million KRW to 1.2 million KRW and includes Pilot Assist.
The Plus Pack has been lowered from 4.9 million KRW to 3 million KRW. It includes: ▲Panoramic glass roof ▲Power front seats ▲WeaveTech seats and black ash deco inlays ▲Polestar Digital Key ▲Air quality system ▲High-level interior illumination ▲Hands-free power tailgate ▲Double-layer rear floor with bag holder ▲LED front fog lamps and cornering lights.
The newly introduced Pro Pack is priced at 1.6 million KRW and includes ▲20-inch alloy wheels ▲Swedish gold details on seat belts and tire valve caps. For an additional 400,000 KRW, customers can choose 20-inch graphite alloy wheels.
The Performance Pack has been reduced by 2 million KRW, from 6.49 million KRW to 4.49 million KRW. It offers ▲Ohlins dual flow valve dampers ▲Brembo brakes ▲20-inch performance-exclusive wheels ▲Performance-exclusive tires ▲Polestar engineered chassis tuning ▲Swedish gold seat belts and valve caps. Pixel LED headlights and the Harman Kardon premium sound system are available as standalone options, priced at 1.3 million KRW and 950,000 KRW, respectively.
The Long Range Single Motor variant delivers 299 horsepower and 50 kg·m of torque, is equipped with a 78kWh lithium-ion battery from LG Energy Solution, and achieves a driving range of 449 km per charge. The price is 54.9 million KRW.
The Long Range Dual Motor variant boasts 421 horsepower and 75.5 kg·m of torque, accelerating from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. It can travel up to 379 km on a single charge. The price is 60.9 million KRW.
