Create Your Own Picture Book with Artificial Intelligence, Observe Constellations and Cosmic Phenomena
Supporting Mental Well-being for Expectant Mothers and Fetal Brain and Emotional Development
Yeongdeungpo District (District Mayor Choi Hokwon) announced that it will operate a prenatal education trip to the National Gwacheon Science Museum for expectant mothers and their families, and is accepting applications until the 23rd.
Until now, the district has worked to promote scientific culture among all residents, and as part of these efforts, has organized science museum visits for elementary and middle school students. This year, for the first time, the district is launching a prenatal education trip specifically for pregnant women. The district explained that science museums are not just places for students, and that it is important for parents to experience the value of science education firsthand and develop an interest in it.
The prenatal education trip to the science museum will take place on May 28 at the National Gwacheon Science Museum. The program has been carefully designed to ensure that it does not place any physical strain on pregnant women.
First, there will be a "Create Your Own Picture Book" activity using generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Participants can create a picture book with AI-generated illustrations based on stories they wish to share with their child, which can be given as a gift after the child is born. Next, participants will relax and find peace of mind by observing constellations and cosmic phenomena in the planetarium, which recreates the night sky. In addition, hands-on science experiences and exhibition tours will help promote the fetal brain and emotional development.
The district will accept up to 30 participants, and applications can be submitted through the district website's "Integrated Reservation" system until May 23. Not only pregnant women but also their spouses and other family members may participate together.
Meanwhile, the district will operate a variety of prenatal education classes to support healthy childbirth for expectant mothers until the end of the year. These include a high-risk pregnancy health class with a medical specialist, healing gardening, picture book prenatal education, and making attachment dolls.
Choi Hokwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, "I hope this will not only provide a unique experience, but also help expectant mothers have a healthy childbirth through emotional bonding with their babies," adding, "We will continue to do our best to make Yeongdeungpo a great place to have and raise children."
