Singer Park Gun, who is currently serving as the ambassador of Mungyeong City in Gyeongbuk Province, has demonstrated his special affection for the local community by participating in the Hometown Love Donation Program for the third consecutive year.

Mungyeong City announced on the 29th that, following a passionate performance at the opening ceremony of the '2024 Mungyeong City Small Business Festa' held on the 26th, Park Gun donated 1 million won to the Hometown Love Donation Program.


Since the implementation of the Hometown Love Donation Program in 2023, Park Gun has continued to donate to Mungyeong City every year, taking the lead in promoting the program and spreading the culture of giving.


Notably, before his performance this time, he personally proposed and carried out a volunteer singing event for elderly patients at Mungyeong Municipal Nursing Hospital, creating a heartwarming atmosphere.


Park Gun said, "I am happy to participate in the Mungyeong City Hometown Love Donation Program again this year," adding, "I hope my donation can make a small contribution to the development of Mungyeong."


Shin Hyun Guk, mayor of Mungyeong City, stated, "I sincerely thank Park Gun for participating in the donation every year," and added, "The donated funds will be used with care for the local residents."


Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 5 million won per year to local governments other than the one listed on their resident registration. Donors can receive tax deductions and, within 30% of the donation amount, local specialty products or other return gifts.


Donations can be made through the 'Hometown Love eum' website or at NH Nonghyup Bank branches nationwide.
