Gwangju Bank announced on the 29th that its 'Kia Champions Card,' launched last month, has surpassed 3,000 accounts in just one month.
The 'Kia Champions Card' was introduced to celebrate and support the KIA Tigers' pursuit of their 13th championship (V13) in 2025. The card has gained popularity not only due to a surge in additional issuances by existing credit card holders, but also because over 77% of the issuances are new accounts, reflecting the growing interest from KIA Tigers fans and the card's diverse benefits.
Key benefits include a 'killer service' that offers a discount of up to 5,000 won on admission to Gwangju-Kia Champions Field, with no minimum spending requirement from the previous month. In addition, cardholders can enjoy discounts at various venues, including the team store and F&B outlets inside the stadium, convenience stores, everyday life sectors, the five major amusement parks, and family restaurants.
Notably, the card is available in four different designs that capture the essence of the KIA Tigers: away uniform, home uniform, baseball, and mascot. Customers can choose the design that best suits their personal preferences.
The card is available to individual members and family members aged 19 or older. The annual fee is 14,000 won for domestic use and 15,000 won for international use. Applications can be made not only at Gwangju Bank branches, but also conveniently online via Gwangju Bank's mobile web banking for non-face-to-face issuance.
Kim Haechul, head of Gwangju Bank's card business division, said, "Thanks to the enthusiastic support of many KIA Tigers fans, the 'Kia Champions Card' is enjoying great popularity," adding, "We will continue to do our best to provide even more differentiated services in the future."
