Kim Kyunghee: "Proactively Establishing Power Grid to Create a Favorable Investment Environment for Businesses"
On April 29, the city of Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gyeonggi Headquarters of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) at the Daol Room of Icheon City Hall for the power supply to the advanced industrial complex.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Kyunghee, Mayor of Icheon, Choi Hyungeun, Head of KEPCO Gyeonggi Headquarters, and Park Myungseo, Chairperson of the Icheon City Council.

Under the agreement, the city will create the necessary conditions for the installation of power supply facilities within the industrial complex, including securing land for substations. The city also agreed to cooperate in expediting related permits and approvals, as well as responding to civil complaints that may arise during construction.
KEPCO will establish timely power supply measures and work to optimize the power infrastructure. In addition, the company will provide technical review materials and infrastructure information to support permit processing and responses to civil complaints.
Mayor Kim stated, "Through this agreement, we will proactively establish the power grid and create an environment where companies can invest with confidence." Choi, the head of the headquarters, also responded, "Icheon is a strategically important hub for advanced industries, making efficient power infrastructure extremely important. We will provide optimal power services to contribute to the successful development of the industrial complex."
