In order to successfully operate the "2025-2026 Chungnam Visit Year," Chungnam Province brought together officials from cities and counties, public institutions, and tourism industry professionals to discuss a variety of countermeasures.

On the afternoon of the 29th, the province held the "2nd 2025 Province-City/County Tourism Officials Meeting" and the "1st 2025 Chungnam Visit Year Public-Private Tourism Council Meeting" in the main conference room at the provincial government building.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the progress in each sector, including creating a vibrant atmosphere for the Chungnam Visit Year, operating programs linked to local resources, expanding tourism infrastructure, establishing a system to accommodate tourists, and promotion and marketing. They also discussed strategies for efficiently attracting tourists.

To further spread the atmosphere of the Chungnam Visit Year, the province requested cities and counties to declare their own "City/County Visit Year" in conjunction with major local festivals.

With the festival season in full swing, the province plans to conduct joint inspections at various festival venues and tourist sites to eradicate price gouging, and will work with cities and counties to ensure thorough hygiene management.

The subsequent 1st Chungnam Visit Year Public-Private Tourism Council Meeting was attended by representatives from public institutions such as the Daejeon-Chungnam Branch of the Korea Tourism Organization, the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation, and the Chungnam Research Institute, as well as eight tourism-related organizations including the Chungnam Tourism Association, the Chungnam Branch of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association, and the Chungnam Branch of the Korea Hotel Association, along with other experts. They shared progress updates and focused on discussing ways to strengthen public-private cooperation.

The public-private tourism council, launched last year, has been holding regular biannual meetings with the aim of establishing a cooperative system to vitalize the tourism industry and enhance tourism capabilities. These meetings have led to substantive discussions on discovering new tourism content and proposing creative ideas.

On this day, the province also discussed in depth public-private cooperation measures for the efficient operation of the "2025-2026 Chungnam Tourism Supporters" and promotional and marketing strategies to foster a private sector-led tourism ecosystem.

A provincial official stated, "For the successful operation of the Chungnam Visit Year, it is essential for the public and private sectors to work organically together to widely promote the appeal of Chungnam and to ensure that tourists can enjoy a convenient and satisfying trip. We will make thorough preparations to welcome visitors, especially as a series of festivals highlighting the region's unique characteristics, such as the Seokjangni Paleolithic Festival in Gongju in May and the Hansan Ramie Fabric Culture Festival in June, are scheduled to take place."
