One Gold, One Silver, and Two Bronze Medals Won
at the National Boxing Championships

On April 29, Hwasun County announced that its boxing team had elevated the prestige of Hwasun sports by winning a total of four medals?one gold, one silver, and two bronze?at the 2025 National Boxing Championships, which concluded the previous day.
Park Chorong boosted the team's pride by claiming the gold medal in the women's general -48kg category with an overwhelming performance.
Additionally, Seo Donggeun earned the silver medal after a narrow loss in the final of the men's general -55kg category.
Sun Hyunwook, who competed in the men's general -85kg category, and Guk Seungjun, who competed in the -70kg category, each demonstrated persistent determination and strong mental fortitude to secure bronze medals, once again proving the overall strength of the team.
Hwasun County Governor Koo Bokgyu stated, "Based on the achievements at this tournament, we will spare no effort to support the team so they can continue to excel in various competitions."
