Commemorative Events and Discount Promotions for Visitors
On April 29, the city of Namwon in North Jeolla Province announced that it will officially open the multipurpose cultural space 'Dalbitjeongwon' and the media art exhibition hall 'Fiorium' on April 30. To commemorate the opening, events and discount promotions have also been prepared for citizens and tourists.
To celebrate the opening, Namwon City will hold a special exhibition of its official character, Hyangimong, featuring famous artworks. Until June 30, the first 100 visitors to Fiorium each day will receive a 'Hyangimong Masterpiece Book' as a gift.
Discounted admission benefits will also be offered. General visitors will receive a 2,000 won discount off the regular price. Namwon citizens, who already receive a 50% discount, will get an additional 1,000 won discount and will be eligible for membership registration, which allows unlimited entry after their first visit.
In particular, general visitors can also receive a 50% discount at all times by joining Namwon Nuri Citizen. They will also enjoy free admission to Gwanghallu Garden and either a 50% discount or free admission at other paid facilities operated by Namwon City, greatly improving accessibility and convenience for Namwon tourism.
This opening marks the first official unveiling of 'Dalbitjeongwon', a multipurpose cultural space created by Namwon City through the renewal of an abandoned industrial facility where condominium construction had been halted and left unused for a long period.
Centered around the exhibition hall 'Fiorium', which features media exhibitions and participatory interactive content under the theme 'The Newly Blooming Light of Namwon', the new venue has been established as an open cultural space for both local residents and tourists.
Going forward, the city plans to develop a cultural and tourism belt connecting Dalbitjeongwon, Gwanghallu Garden, and Hampau Art Valley, aiming to expand stay-type tourism and continuously revitalize the local cultural and artistic ecosystem based on Namwon's unique content.
Mayor Choi Kyungsik stated, "We are meticulously preparing to ensure a satisfying experience for all visitors to Dalbitjeongwon and Fiorium," adding, "Even after the opening, we plan to showcase the sensibility and cultural depth of Namwon through a variety of cultural events."
