Deliberation on 16 Agenda Items Including the First Supplementary Budget for 2025
The Gwangsan District Council in Gwangju will hold its 296th extraordinary session for 10 days, from April 30 to May 9, 2025.
According to the Gwangsan District Council on April 29, the upcoming session will review a total of 16 agenda items, including the first supplementary budget bill for 2025, nine ordinance bills, one rule bill, three consent bills, and one resolution bill.
On April 30, the council will convene its first plenary session to hear the executive branch's proposal for the first supplementary budget bill for 2025. From then until May 2, each standing committee will review the supplementary budget bill and other agenda items. On May 7 and 8, the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts will conduct a comprehensive review, and on May 9, the council plans to address all agenda items submitted to the second plenary session and then adjourn.
The supplementary budget bill submitted by Gwangsan District has been set at approximately 1.0446 trillion won, an increase of 62.4 billion won (6.36%) compared to the original budget of 982.1 billion won.
Kim Myungsoo, chairperson of the council, stated, "I hope this session will enhance residents' trust and sense of connection to district administration through close communication and cooperation between the council and the executive branch."
