The number one "military president" star chosen by MZ generation soldiers was found to be the girl group aespa.
On April 29, the Korea Defense Daily, published by the Defense Media Agency, announced that it had conducted a "barracks chart" survey on topics such as "the star you most want to see on the Spring Consolation Train stage" among 309 active-duty soldiers from April 4 to 17. The survey was conducted through online feedback using the public military communication service app, The Camp.
According to the survey results, the number one "military president" star that soldiers wanted to see on the Consolation Train was aespa, with 18.1% of the votes. The second place went to "fromis_9" (16.2%), followed by IU (6.5%) in third, IVE (6.1%) in fourth, and NMIXX (4.9%) in fifth. Rounding out the top ten were NewJeans (3.6%), QWER (3.2%), Babymonster (2.9%), Le Sserafim (2.3%), and BTS (1.9%).
Aespa, the group in first place, received 18.1% support, with comments such as "Just seeing them gives me strength" and "Their songs and performances are a great comfort," making them the most desired star for MZ generation soldiers to meet on the Consolation Train stage.
Meanwhile, the Korea Defense Daily's barracks chart is a communication and participation-based defense content series that selects interesting topics every month, gathers soldiers' opinions, and ranks them.
