May 3-6: Experiential Content at the 'Hobby Shop' Pop-up Store
A Chance to Step Away from Daily Life and Explore a Variety of Hobbies
Lotte Department Store's Busan Main Branch will host the 'Hobby Shop' pop-up store in May, which is Family Month in Korea, offering a variety of handmade one-day classes and experiential content.
From May 3 to May 6, for a total of four days, the 'Hobby Shop Festival' will take place at the 9th floor L Arena Square, where visitors can enjoy a variety of one-day classes and hands-on experiences in a market-style setting.
This 'Hobby Shop' Festival is themed 'A Day for Family, Filled with Hobbies,' providing an opportunity to break away from daily routines and experience a wide range of hobbies. As interest in 'one-day experiential classes' has been rising, particularly among the MZ Generation, the event is designed to help individuals discover personal preferences and new inspiration.
This is the first time Lotte Department Store's Busan Main Branch is hosting such an event, which features a total of 23 experiential courses, including 'Personal Color Analysis,' 'Custom Soap & Bath Bomb Making,' 'Cupping Class,' and 'Ceramic Hand-Painting.' Anyone can participate through advance reservations or on-site registration.
In particular, with Children's Day approaching, the festival has expanded family-oriented experiential content so that people of all ages, from children to adults, can participate together. A variety of classes suitable for Children's Day, such as 'Dog Storage Box & Pipe Cleaner Doll Making' and 'Custom Mug Cup Making,' will be available in one place. Each program is led by an expert, making it easy for beginners to join without hesitation.
There will also be a stamp tour and an SNS certification event for children. Customers who take three or more classes will receive a limited-edition 'Grip Tok' as a gift, and those who upload photos of the event and their class participation to Instagram will receive additional goods on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kwon Changuk, Head of Sales Planning at Lotte Department Store's Busan Main Branch, said, "We have prepared a variety of experiential programs so that not only families but people of all ages can enjoy them," adding, "We hope visitors will have a meaningful time by directly experiencing content that reflects current trends."
