Full Operation of Water Attractions Including Mega Storm and Lazy River
Various Spring Promotions Such as Advance Reservations Available
As daytime temperatures rise noticeably, Caribbean Bay has emerged as a unique spring outing destination for those seeking something different.
On April 29, Everland, the resort division of Samsung C&T, announced that Korea's leading water park, Caribbean Bay, has completed its spring preparations and will reopen starting May 1. With the Children's Day holiday and the beginning of Family Month, popular outdoor attractions such as Mega Storm and the wave pool, as well as the lazy river and the aquatic center, will be fully operational. All indoor and outdoor water attractions are scheduled to open sequentially until early July, when the peak summer season begins.
Samsung C&T emphasized that Caribbean Bay is an ideal choice for families, friends, and couples looking to enjoy a special spring outing in a more relaxed and pleasant environment ahead of the summer peak season. In particular, the company highlighted that the water temperature at outdoor facilities is maintained at an average of 29 degrees Celsius or higher, alleviating concerns that it might still be too cold.
During the spring renovation period, which began in early March, Caribbean Bay introduced a new village at the aquatic center and reorganized water attractions and convenience areas, including the installation of large parasols along customer pathways.
The signature attraction, Mega Storm, which combines a magnetic water coaster and a tornado slide, is now equipped with water sprays along the queue line, helping guests cool off as the summer heat approaches. Mega Storm offers a complex thrill, as riders start from a height of 37 meters, sit in a round tube, and descend a 355-meter slide for about one minute, experiencing sudden drops, rapid ascents, spins in all directions, and even moments of weightlessness.
At the massive outdoor wave pool, which is 120 meters wide and 104 meters long, guests can enjoy giant artificial waves up to 2.4 meters high. The 550-meter-long lazy river, which operates along its entire course, is also described as an attractive option for those seeking 'healing,' as guests can float in warm water while feeling the spring breeze.
Samsung C&T also explained that Caribbean Bay offers a variety of spring season promotions, including family packages, advance reservation discounts, and student discounts, allowing the whole family to enjoy the park affordably together.
