Chonnam National University Professor Hyunju Kim Selected as Finalist for "Lexus Creative Masters"

Professor Hyunju Kim of the Department of Fine Arts, College of Arts, Chonnam National University, selected as one of the final five for the Lexus Creative Masters Award.

Chonnam National University announced on April 28 that Professor Hyunju Kim of the Department of Fine Arts, College of Arts, was selected as one of the final five for the "Lexus Creative Masters Award 2025," held under the theme "The Future of Craft: Breaking Boundaries."

The award-winning work, "Blue wave series," showcased new possibilities for the present era where tradition and modernity coexist, through the meeting of the sophisticated technique of nacre inlay and contemporary forms. The piece received high scores from all judges in terms of detail and completeness, earning a place among the finalists.

Professor Kim stated, "As a Lexus Creative Master, I plan to continue various collaborative activities with different brands in the future."
