The Daejeon Cultural Foundation announced that it has been selected for the "2025 Barrier-Free Cultural Enjoyment Promotion Support Project," organized by the Korea Disability Arts and Culture Center, and will receive 80 million won in national funding.
Following its selection, the foundation plans to collaborate with local professional organizations to enhance barrier-free accessibility for the Daejeon Literature Museum's special exhibition in the second half of the year, "Special Exhibition Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Poet Park Yongrae's Birth." The foundation will operate a Deaf culture docent program, produce large-print guides, and provide a variety of accessible services.
The "Special Exhibition Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Poet Park Yongrae's Birth" is an exhibition that widely introduces the life and achievements of Park Yongrae, a representative artist of Daejeon, to the public.
Baek Chunhee, CEO of the Daejeon Cultural Foundation, stated, "Through this exhibition, we aim to provide an environment where everyone, regardless of disability, can safely and equally enjoy public cultural and artistic spaces."
