A Remarkable Silver Medal with a Score of 253.1 Points
Kwon Eunji, a member of the Uljin County Office shooting team in North Gyeongsang Province, won a silver medal and set a new Korean record at an international competition held in Argentina starting April 3, 2025.
In the women's 10m air rifle qualification at the '2025 ISSF Buenos Aires World Cup,' Kwon Eunji scored 636.7 points, surpassing the previous Korean record of 635.3 points set in 2021 by 1.4 points and establishing a new national record.
This score is just 0.2 points short of the world record of 636.9 points set by Anna Janssen of Germany in 2024, demonstrating Kwon Eunji's world-class skills.
In the final, Kwon Eunji narrowly missed the gold medal by 1.0 point to Wang Zifei of China, but secured a valuable silver medal with a score of 253.1 points.
This achievement is the result of the Uljin County Office shooting team's professional training system, and even greater performances are expected in future shooting competitions.
Uljin County Governor Son Byeongbok said, "I would like to thank Coach Lee Hyochul and Kwon Eunji for their outstanding results, setting a new Korean record and winning a silver medal at an international competition as members of the Uljin County Office. I hope our team will continue to play a leading role in raising the prestige of Uljin County."
