Dong-Eui University Graduate School of National Security Policy Signs Agreement with Busan Disaster Headquarters

Industry-Academia Cooperation to Foster Professionals and Strengthen Disaster Response Capabilities

The Graduate School of National Security Policy at Dong-Eui University (Dean Sangwon Kim) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Busan Disaster Headquarters (Head Joil Kim) on April 24 in the Global Conference Room of the university's main building to strengthen cooperation in the fields of disaster and safety.

The signing ceremony was attended by Sangwon Kim, Dean of the Graduate School of National Security Policy, Seongbin Joo, Vice Dean, Yeom Park, Head of the Fire Administration Division at Busan Disaster Headquarters, as well as other related officials.

Through this agreement, the two institutions agreed to cooperate in the following areas: mutual exchange of academic, informational, educational, and facility resources; advisory collaboration in the fields of public safety and disaster management; education and technical support for professionals; joint use of employee welfare programs; operation of practical consultative bodies among affiliated organizations; and the discovery of other areas for cooperation.

Sangwon Kim, Dean of the Graduate School of National Security Policy, stated, "We will further strengthen our network and practical cooperation with various related organizations responsible for safety in areas such as disaster, meteorology, security, national defense, and public order in the local community, and will make greater efforts to develop policies and train professionals to enhance community safety."
