Park Dongjin, head of Masanhappo District Office in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, visited Changwon Municipal Seoseong Daycare Center on April 28, ahead of Family Month, and spent an enjoyable time with children as a one-day daycare teacher.

Park Dongjin, mayor of Masanhappo District Office, is volunteering as a daycare teacher for a day.

On this day, Park visited the "Cloud Class," a mixed-age group of 4- and 5-year-olds, where he played ball games with the children during free playtime and assisted with lunch serving and mealtime guidance.

In particular, when the district head performed a story in a way that matched the children's perspective, the children responded enthusiastically, focusing on the story with bright expressions.

This volunteer activity was organized ahead of Family Month to support the emotional development of young children by spending enjoyable time with them in the childcare setting, and to enhance understanding of daycare center operations and the childcare field.

Park Dongjin, head of Masanhappo District Office, said, "Although the time spent with the children was short, I learned a lot from their pure gaze and reactions," adding, "It is most important for teachers themselves to have a sense of duty in order to provide high-quality childcare services, but administratively, we will also spare no support for daycare center operations and improving teachers' working conditions, and do our utmost to create a happy childcare environment."
