B2C Automation Equipment Operational from Late April
Full-Service Fulfillment for K-beauty and Multi-Item Small-Volume Cargo
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sangkeun) is launching a fulfillment service at its logistics center located behind the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach in the United States.
This service expands the functions of the logistics center by providing an integrated system that handles storage, packaging, and delivery of cargo, thereby enhancing supply chain stability and logistics efficiency.
On April 28, BPA announced that it has expanded the functions of the logistics center to support small and medium-sized Korean exporters entering the U.S. market.
BPA established a joint venture with Jusung C&AIR, a North America-focused logistics company led by CEO Park Jinsu, and has been operating the logistics center on an 8,600-square-meter site behind the LA/LB ports since September last year.
The newly established fulfillment system occupies 20% of the total area. All major equipment, including shelves, conveyors, and auto-labelers, was manufactured in Korea and installed on site.
The system completed installation and trial operations of related equipment in April 2025, and is capable of handling all processes within the center, from storage and inventory management by product, to picking and packaging according to orders, and final delivery.
BPA plans to provide specialized services for small-volume, multi-item B2C cargo such as K-beauty products and K-culture goods, and will expand to offer additional services including customs clearance and transportation.
Song Sangkeun, President of BPA, stated, "With the launch of this fulfillment service, logistics support for small and medium-sized enterprises entering the U.S. market has been further strengthened," adding, "We will continue to focus on securing a stable export supply chain for Korean companies, even amid the rapidly changing global trade environment."
