Dalseong County in Daegu announced on April 28 that Jaehoon Choi, Mayor of Dalseong County, has participated in the 'Relay Campaign to Improve Awareness of Population Issues'.
This campaign, jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare since October last year, aims to raise social awareness and address changes in the population structure caused by low birth rates and an aging population.
Jaehoon Choi, who was nominated by Namcheol Lee, Mayor of Goryeong County, selected Kunwoo Lee, President of Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST), and Eunyoung Kim, Chairperson of the Dalseong County Council, as the next participants, supporting the continued spread of the campaign to improve awareness of population issues.
Jaehoon Choi, Mayor of Dalseong County, stated, "Population issues are an important challenge that our entire society must address together," and added, "Dalseong County will also promote a variety of population policies that cover all stages of the life cycle."
