Gyeongnam Nonghyup and Gyeongsang National University Students Join Forces to Support Rural Farm Work Gyeongnam Nonghyup Assists Rural Farm Work During Farming Season with Students from Gyeongsang National University.

On the 26th, more than 50 people, including faculty and students from Gyeongsang National University, staff from the Geoje City branch of Nonghyup, and employees of Jangmok Nonghyup, participated in the farm work assistance event organized in cooperation with the Urban-Rural Win-Win National Movement Headquarters. They supported tasks such as harvesting and transporting onions.

Students from Gyeongsang National University directly participated in the farm work, helping to alleviate the labor shortage for local farmers. Through this experience, they gained a deeper appreciation for agriculture and rural communities, and had a meaningful opportunity to understand firsthand the difficulties faced by farmers.

Ryu Gilnyeon, head of the headquarters, stated, "I hope that this assistance will provide even a small amount of help to farms struggling with labor shortages," and added, "We will continue to do our best to address the challenges faced in rural areas by cooperating with various organizations for the benefit of the local community."

Meanwhile, since signing a business agreement with Gyeongsang National University in May 2017 to promote contributions to rural society, Gyeongnam Nonghyup saw 1,205 participants last year. This year, the organization plans to encourage even more students to participate in rural farm work assistance activities.
